MDSolarSciences™ was founded by Dr. Robert J. Friedman, a practicing dermatologic oncologist in New York City and Clinical Professor at the New York University (NYU) School of Medicine, Department of Dermatology. Their mission is to ‘protect, prevent and educate’. With a substantial focus on the science of skincare, the Scientific Advisory Council (SAC) plays an integral role at MDSolarSciences™. It expands, by extraordinary proportions, the company’s bench strength in medical/scientific specialties. The members of the SAC support a range of activities. These include helping to develop and review products as well as create educational programs. The SAC also fine-tunes product specifications and performance standards.
EcoCert® Certified – MDSolarSciences™ mineral sunscreens contain a sustainable and EcoCert certified form of non-nano zinc oxide.
Micronized Zinc/Titanium – All MDSolarSciences™ products feature zinc and titanium particles greater than 100nm. Non-nano sized particles are the safer choice for our reefs and development of marine life.
Skin Cancer Foundation Recommended – Certain MDSolarSciences™ formulas carry the Skin Cancer Foundation seal of approval and recommendation.
Animal Testing Free – No MDSolarSciences™ product is ever tested on animals.
Fragrance Free – We do not use synthetic fragrances in any of our formulations due to potential allergy concerns.
Paraben Free – Our Scientific Advisory Council strictly forbids the use of parabens in any MDSolarSciences™ formula.
